Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our area. For Mermaid Water Systems, that means understanding how it affects our customers, employees, and our communities, and then making the right adjustments to our work and operations.
In light of the COVID-19 outbreak here in our backyard, the Mermaid Water staff would like to reassure our customers that while we are continuing to provide services and installation, we are taking precautions for everyone’s safety within our establishment. We are following the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus. We have shared specific instructions with our employees on the importance of washing their hands and staying home if they feel sick. Our office and service vehicles are fully stocked with sanitizing products, each piece of equipment is individually sanitized, our techs are working in staggered shifts to prevent contact with each other and we have implemented a 1-in, 1-out protocol so no more than 1 staff member is in our facilities at a time and each sanitize as they leave and enter.
We know that you have scheduled in-home service, installations, repairs, and/or water tests with us. If you have any concerns, please call us and we will be happy to discuss and reschedule if necessary. Simply call 800-333-4465 and we will take care of it. We also ask that if you have been exposed to anyone who is or may be carrying the COVID-19 virus, that you call to reschedule your appointment for a date at least 2 weeks after exposure. We will make sure to accommodate your rescheduling.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and do what we can do to protect you and our employees. Thank you for your cooperation and as always we look forward to providing you with clean and healthy water.
